Welcome to our Spotlight Client of the Month – Mustang Baseball of Central Ohio!
Recently, one of my best friends from high school called upon us to create a baseball-themed website for his Little League. Being an avid baseball fan only made this request that much more exciting and fun to approach.
After searching for an affordable, yet robust CMS, we settled upon Blue Sombrero’s content management system. It offered an extremely wide-range of options from registration to allocating players to scheduling games to posting scores. Coupled with the back end support from Dick’s Sporting Goods made this an excellent choice.
After modifying the Mustang Baseball logo, we started the design by choosing an appropriate theme. This fully responsive, mobile-friendly site quickly came into shape and was completed in just 2 weeks.

About Mustang Baseball of Central Ohio
Mustang Baseball holds open evaluations each summer. Players are evaluated in 5 areas each for fielding, hitting, pitching, and athleticism. Evaluations are open to the public to give ball players an objective assessment of their current strengths and areas in need of improvement.
Mustang Baseball is a coaches charter structured organization. This means that each coach operates their own team and chooses how often they practice, play games, what level of competition they play, how they structure their team, and who plays on their team.
Some of our teams play games only in the Big League Summer League. Other teams play games in addition to the Big League schedule. And some teams play Big League, some travel games, and some tournaments.
Attending evaluations is not a guarantee of a roster spot. There are many factors that go into deciding if a player is a good fit for a team and if that team is a good fit for the player and their family.
If your player, and family, are offered a spot on a Mustang roster we encourage you to discuss with that coach how they intend to operate their roster and what the practice schedule and game schedule will be. One Mustang team might not be a good for you but another team might be a perfect fit.
Coach Your Own Team
Do you have an interest in coaching beyond the Rec Ball level? Do you have a desire to build a competitive travel program focused on developing a players confidence and self-esteem along with their baseball IQ and ability? Then consider coaching your own Mustang team.

Can you imagine attempting to start this yourself?
Central Ohio is growing fast. There are more players looking for this higher level of competition than there are organizations that can provide it. Starting your own team is a rewarding and fun opportunity to have a positive impact on Central Ohio youth and youth baseball.
